My newest addition to the type set. Just arrived today. Most of the scratches seems to be on the holder and not on the coin. Its certified but would like your opinion. I'll reveal the grades later. Thank you

Well... I missed on the Seated dime the other day by a mile...But I am a glutton for punishment ! It looks just a little flat on the high areas, but mostly near the top of the obverse- the stars from 11-2 o'clock lack the detail lines, and the head and flag are a little mushy...but...the corresponding (I think) area on the reverse is also weak - from about 4-6 o'clock near the rim- where "Cents" is weak...sooooo....Since I don't see very many hits to the coin obverse or reverse, and most of the scratches are on the holder- I'll go MS-63. I could be missing the luster breaks that would give this one away as an AU coin. If it is circulation wear and not strike weakness...Sigh...I'll just try again another day ! A super nice looking coin, no matter what the grade. Looks like it has a little of that steel blue toning , nice pick !

Hello Shatsi,
This looks like a nice choice for a high-grade type set. The obverse especially appears to have a lot of vertical hairlines but they may well be mostly on the holder. A lot of luster remains in the protected areas around the letters and devices. The photos lack fine detail but I think I see some wear on the eagle's talons and on Miss Liberty's head. I'm thinking AU-55 based on detail and luster.

There appears to be some dirt around the stars and especially around some of the letters on the reverse. There seems to be some flattening of the talons and leading edges of the wings, along with some rub on Liberty's head and thigh (though that could be from the photography?) There does look to be some luster left. I'm going to say AU-55, with the proviso that, in hand, this coin might be MS. Very nice.

And another series I am not familiar with (yet), but I'll give her a go. First off it looks like she has seen an old time dip and a very light cleaning (there appears to be some crustiness left tight in to the stars and some of the other devices, the rest of the coin is just a little too clean). I see some weakness in her head, the eagles talons and the stars are flat. On the other hand, there is still plenty of luster around the devices, and some time in a dansco would bring her around nicely. I would grade her as cleaned, net xf-40 to xf-45 (from the picture). Neat coin, shatsi!

Wish I had one of these. I see some wear on the hair and high points.I can't read LIBERTY real well but it might be because of lighting. Eagles talons, top of wings and "S" show considerable flatness.I will take a stab with VF35. Very nice coin.

Thanks everyone. Its AU58 NGC. 'LIBERTY' is visible, my picture taking ability is dismal. Sorry. I've been looking for a nice 20c for a while now. So I'm glad I bought it even though I had to pay more than I expected to.

I always love a nice 20-center. That one looks pretty good. The strike is okay and the luster looks nice. Congrats!
