Very nice! Thanks for sharing - I've always liked the design of this medal.

Just FYI: The medal was also struck in pure silver (in the same size). The original selling price for the bronze was $1.50; the silver was $8.00. The medal was designed by David Dow - his mark is on the obverse.

One of which I ran across today. The edge inscription states it's ".999+" fine, and that it was made by the Medallic Art Co. of New York. The silver version was apparently serial numbered, this particular one being #1844.
