You have to admit that would stop anyone in their tracks...
Mrzllewellyn must be a detective

I do believe it is a copper/steel; however it was done...
Look at the head impact where it shows copper, look at the rim in the side angle shot at the details the perfection of the finish.
And the weight and magnetic properties are...
2.7g and yes it is magnetic...
In my life I have had (
may still have 2) 1943 Copper's...here's the story if you want to stick around.
About 12 years ago, I bought 60,000 wheat cents from a supposed bank find in rolls from a guy and I went through them 1 by 1 after separating the obvious steel from wheat...
Within that 60,000 I found (2)
TWO 1943 copper's that looked real like this one...I called my LCS because when I tested them with the magnet I had they would fall off of and they weighed almost 3g if I remember right...so I was very nervous about losing them
The LCS owner was closed but agreed to meet me at his shop and told me if they are real he was gonna make me a very good offer for them...long story short he tested them with his round magnet and they slid off slowly...
He told me he could not be sure if they were real or not but if they were fakes they were the best he has ever seen...he made me an offer but it was based on suspicion they may be fakes so I kept them and brought them home...
So the good outcome of the story is this; either my grandkids college tuition is paid for if/when they find them after I am gone...
OR I have accidentally sold them to someone at some point in time over the past 10 years and they have not bothered to check their purchases because I got rid of all of those wheats (yes, a regret).
This coin was a very good fake but I have held 2 better ones...
