The bays on the dies are the outside part of the die. So when contact happens on the die, it makes a raised area the coins struck with the die. So strong die polishing will remove part of the field/bay areas. This leaves the bays with a raised mark on the coin. The one on bay 8 is normal. That is part of the design.

On the 4 locations of the doubled columns, these are part of the design. So slight amounts of die polishing would not remove these. But later on with heavier die polishing these start to go away. Note on my image the bar on the 1 & 11 bays. That was over polished and part of it is missing in the center areas. So you have seen the doubled columns that are normal and the bays that were over polished, altering the fields/bays. No premium for this, but know what happened....Priceless.
