Very nice coin--I like these Byzantines with the rows of words on the rev. Any idea what those fence-like linear designs are above and below the rev inscription?

On the rev Ron?I thought that this was the latin translation of the IC XC on the obv.

IC - XC is Greek for Jesus Christ, On the reverse is the Greek legend.

Yep, sorry dude but I wasn't being clear. On the reverse of this coin, there is the legend in Greek, but both above and below that legend are what looks like split rail fences, with dashes and Xs. Those fence things are what I trying to understand. Are they just a fancy pattern or did they have some meaning?
