I recently was looking through some of my MS War Nickels and discovered this peculiar Nickel showing obvious doubling of the 5 in the date.
What do you guys think?

Looking at variety vista.com it seems the notch on 4, I and the pointed ends on 5 and 4 cross are common to all. If doubling that would be MDD, master die doubled and not a lister DDO. The 5 does appear to be MD, take a look:

I will say MD. The notch on the I in LIBERTY also seems to be common across examples.

Thanks guys, that's what I figured too. And it appears that the master hub had a few interesting design characteristics as well.
