Hi,

I found this coin a while ago and after inspecting it, I see what I believe to be a repunched mintmark. Is it an RPM, or is this just normal?

By the way, would this dime qualify for FT/FB?

Sorry. That is Machine Doubling. How can I tell? Note that area compared with the top loop of the mint mark. You can see where the Machine Doubling reduced the size of that area of the mint mark. The area below the MD is showing what the original mint mark looked like, before it was reduced by MD. So it is not a RPM. But it is still a silver dime, so don't spend it for face value. It is worth a lot more in silver melt.

But wouldn't Machine Doubling show up on the entire reverse? I only see doubling on the mintmark.

The bottom part is of the torch doesn't show a split band .
