1944 S Copper Penny On 1943 S Copper Penny Is This An Error?

itsonlymoney Valued Member United States 142 Posts	Posted 02/01/2018 10:10 pm i recently got this penny and at first glance I thought it had a little Machine Doubling on the last 4 but while taking pictures I noticed that it was clearly not a 4 but a 3 under the 4. is this even possible since we only had steal 1943 s pennies? cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 02/02/2018 12:03 am It looks like a well placed hit to me. Some damage done to the second 4 making it appear to be a mint error. Look closely at the width of the vertical bar in the second 4 compared to the first 4, it is noticeably narrower. Report this Post to the Staff

It is just PMD, I'm afraid. Keep searching!
