2013 D Nickel Crack? - Coin Community Forum

I noticed the weird coloration around the crack and was wondering if it was post mint or something that happened during the minting process. Report this Post to the Staff

spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 02/02/2018 12:56 am You may have some gunk stuck to the coin. Try using a toothpick to see of you can dislodge it. I would also recommend soaking it in acetone to see if you can remove the gunk that has discolored it. It doesn't really resemble any error I know of.
