Have come across some late 60's early 70's US coins in half decent shape. Working on my photos as well. Any observations appreciated. Thanks.

Simple fact is, when you have a coin of this quality, it is virtually impossible to grade it with certainty without having it in hand. This could well be MS.

Strong AU58, given the photos. By definition coin grading is rather subjective. One person's AU58 could be another's MS62. Respectfully, what do you mean by verification'?

I'd go MS-62 but the services would call it a 63 because they don't care about the chicken scratches.

There may be a slight "rub" but the luster appears intact.

It's probably a mint set coin but there are no clear diagnostics for this except is was struck by good dies.

It's a great coin for a "from circulation" set and is "better" than my example which is a very well made AU-58 slider.

1973 is a pretty tough date and all the XF's were gone from circulation by about 1993. AU's were gone by ~'85.

Quarters had a universal circulation before the states coins so it's a virtual certainty that this coin was released recently if from circulation.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

Strong luster. A few distracting marks. Somewhere in the MS-62 to MS-63 range.
