Whether there was a reason or not (and it turns out that there was a reason), coins are fake based on what they are shown to be after examination, not on circumstantial evidence. moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 02/03/2018 4:19 pm Actually it was my great grandfather 90 years ago and the tin can they were in hadn't been opened in 89 years. We kept a pencil and paper sitting beside it with instructions that anyone opening the can had to write down the date it was opened. No one wrote anything down that whole time.
