I needed some tweezers and I had this metal one on hand so I added some heat shrink tubing (for electrical wiring). Turns out the heat shrink tubing is immune to Acetone. I bought some plastic tweezers but they melted when I stuck them into the Acetone. Any suggestions or recommendations for upgrades to my equipment are welcome.

What's wrong with the metal tweezer with the heat shrink tubing ? If the acetone don't melt the tubing then I don't see why you would want to upgrade what you have .

I think he's just saying that the tubing prevents the metal tweezers from damaging a coin's surface.

This works for me for now. What do experienced collectors use on their better grade coins and Is there a particular brand that is popular?
