Could This Be A Crazy Error On 1995 Quarter?

Titles are Important! * I know nothing about coins but ran across this 1995 quarter. Not sure if it's been altered or if it's a mint error. There is almost no detail at all on George Washington's face, it's almost completely smooth to the touch. Any knowledge would be helpful...thank you. Report this Post to the Staff

IGWT is in good condition, as is L-I-B-T-Y in Liberty. The reverse doesn't show nearly as much wear as the obverse. It may have been a worry piece. Report this Post to the Staff
