This 1909 Wheat cent is a pretty decent-looking coin. I am using seller's pictures, cropped, so I don't know what it will look like in hand yet. Thoughts on originality and a grade guesstimate? I'd say Au-58. Looks to have some light rub on the highest points of the obverse.

64 BN.
VERY interesting (and beautiful) surfaces. This copper round is somewhere between woodie and matte.
Obverse hit with medium to late die state dies. Lincoln must have been in a fisticuffs before this picture was taken (mark on the cheekbone).
Reverse - 66 all day long. HAMMERED!

I love everything about this Lincoln except the obvious Greaser on the L and I .I'm leaning towards the fact that this coin had a very short time in circulation as there is slight rub on hair and beard . AU-59 .

The woodgrain texture is very prominent on the reverse, and less so on the obverse.

The rub on the obverse high points and apparent breaks in the cartwheel spokes in the left and right fields makes it look AU. The toning is also distrubed, it should match the reverse...."cabinet friction"? The reverse is awesome - it's a 50/50 shot with the TPG's but they usually give these a 63RB.
