Agreement that this is an S-214?

It's certainly not a prime example (and I won't stop looking for a better one) but it fills a hole for now.

I agree, and the die crack on the reverse from the stem through the (1)/100 confirms it.

S-215 comes from the same rev. This is S-214 though, the spacing of the date confirms it.

You can be sure I double-checked that! (Given the scarcity of the S-215 relative to the S-214.)

OK, it just sounded like you were saying that you knew it was 214 because it had the crack, and that isn't enough.

Only meant that I was careful to attribute the coin as a 214 as opposed to a 215. I am familiar with the various differences. The die crack was simply the final nail. Thanks.

By the way, there was recently an apparently sweet S-215 listed on ebay. Would have pulled the trigger if it had truly been an S-215 rather than actually an S-214. To the seller's credit, the listing was changed (with thanks) after I pointed out the discrepancy. The search for an affordable 215 continues...
