I wonder why this Buffalo nickel has this texter and look all all the way around? It doesn't look like scratches or anything to me, to cause the whole coin to look and feel like it does! And before you think that the pic if blurry, just know it literally looks exactly like it feels & vise versa.

Looks like some sort of acid damage.

The picture reminds me of what coins look like after being in nitric acid for a little bit. I used to put a penny coins in nitric acid in the chemistry classes I was teaching as a dramatic way for my kids to remember nitric acid dissolves metals. I would pull the coins out at various stages for he kids to view.

Oh ok! Well I never seen or drowned any coins in acid before so my bad, lol! I know what it could be now, if I ever see any coins looking like this! But I did find it not to long ago going through old pig banks, and it always looked way off! So Thanks you guys!

Save a bunch of them and sell by bag or roll, individual Buffs unless good grades/low mintage aren't worth the effort trying to sell.
