Don't go higher than 14x because the image gets distorted. As to brand,B&L is good but cost a bit more. I have used a $4 doublet and it works fine. I have a 14x B&L Hastings triplet and it works fine but the area is small to view. I also have a 14x doublet ANCO brand,I think that's the brand and it cost $8. I use that most of the time. So I recommend a 10x and a 14x Hastings Triplet. I use a swing arm lamp with a 30 watt CFL bulb. John1 Edited by John1 02/07/2018 5:26 pm Report this Post to the Staff
