It is 18mm in dia. and very thin and light. The hole makes me wonder if it was a token meant to be worn? I've been unable to identify any of the markings, but some look similar to those I've seen on Egyptian coins. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Look for belly money in the top left hand search box. Plenty of examples to see.

It is indeed a token from a belly dancer.
The clue is the regnal year 78 (#1639;#1640;) and the hole in the coin/token
There has never been an ottoman ruler with a reign that long
