Lincoln's hair at the top looks like the hair on the wheat pennies.

The die seems a bit off set.

Also have some possible die errors.

I have added a picture with Wheat penny error for reference to the hair marked with. Rectangle.

It's normal for the 1968 S Lincoln Memorial cents. It's part of its design and not a Mint error.

The heavy look on the 1968 was the design for that year. You also have a very late die state where die flow has expanded outwards. This stretches the elements and makes the size bigger of the die, which is then milled down to fit the holder taking the outer edges away. Why the letters seem to disappear.
