IMO not a shattered die. That would have "lines" going all directions. Think of a "star" on your car's windshield.
But it's a very impressive die crack.

That's a Retained Cud and it has a more than 90 degree Rotated reverse. Awesome find! Did you find this in circulation or from a BU roll?
Errers and Varietys.

Very nice find. Most of the retained Die Cuds are on the reverse of the coins in the past. But why is this Retained Cud on the obverse? Answer below. (You need to high light the area below to read it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ The dies changed location. It used to be the Hammer die was the obverse. But now, the Hammer die is the reverse. I don't recall what year this took place. But now you will find more of the events that happened to the obverse of dies, now happening on the reverse, So now the collar holds the retained die on the obverse._______________________________________________________________________________________________

This was in a circulated customer roll.Is there a certain one I should watch Coop? I'd like to watch them all but I'm trying not to burn up my data.

This is the first one I've seen on the obverse of a Shield cent. (Or come to think of any Lincoln Cent obverse with a Retained Cud) It would be a big ticket item on ebay. (If the buyers were aware how rare it was) I would watch in rolls in your area. Sometimes a bin is distributed in certain locations. So look hard and fast before the word gets out about these in your area. Even a thousand of these would not be too many to keep. Once word gets out, it will be like the gold rush in your area. (So keep it quite for a while in your area) Get as many as you can get. Keep the very best to have graded. Sell off the common ones you find first. Save the best for last.

I uploaded in sections. First the message, then the high lighted area, then the image.
(I normally write in the description tags, but the white color is not a listed option. So I edited it using the tag on the screen. Then added the image as I wanted them all to be in place as soon as possible)
