I'm not sure what to make of the bumps between the pillars.
Any ideas what this could be.

Could be plating bubbles.

More than likely are plating bubbles cause by foreign material that was trapped between the layers and has caused corrosion and gas to form. Doesn't conform to areas of a die clash

My first thought was also plating bubbles.
