I have this 1971 D Lincoln Cent and am wondering what could have caused this? It is the exact same diameter as a regular cent. Other than the flattening of the rim on the north of both obverse and reverse. Its not road rash. Looking for some help with this one.

@Coinfrog, at first that is what I thought but for the most part other than the rim it is a perfectly normal circulated cent. It may be a Dryer Coin. I really don't know.
Rest in Peace

with Coinfrog. The coin would have to be inside a machine for ages and ages for more damage to occur. The rim will be the first thing to get beat up.
