The following is a quote from the Heritage site. "According to Walter Breen, there were fifty presentation pieces struck of the New Rochelle issue. These were stuck with a single blow from polished dies on a proof planchet. While business strikes produced from fresh dies will also be somewhat prooflike, they lack the sharpness of the present specimen, especially on the hide of the calf and the central base of the rose. The dies have been heavily polished on the present coin, which has a forest of faint die polish lines (as struck) in the reverse field."

I hope those parallel lines above the date are die polishing and not hand cleaning?
Right markers so it could be. Let us know your results.

Maybe ... your photos are not able to capture the surfaces ...
Let us know what PCGS says on this one ... fingers crossed for you and a potential rare find.

Just got the grade back from PCGS. The wizards believe this is an SP and assigned it the grade of SP66 and I agree. Thanks

So what's the difference between the value of a business strike and a specimen?

Quote: So what's the difference between the value of a business strike and a specimen? PCGS shows a value of $475.00 for an MS-66 example and $7,500.00 for an SP-66 version.

Well congratulations then. That's one of the best cherry picks that I've ever heard of. Sometimes when you take a chance it pays off. I got excited when I cherry picked a Jefferson nickel that had an S over D mint mark. I can only imagine how you feel.
