Numismat Pillar of the Community United States 1666 Posts	Posted 02/17/2018 01:23 am I've only seen these previously on crown sized coins and am not all that familiar with this particular counterstamp. realeswatcher Pillar of the Community United States 1962 Posts	Posted 02/17/2018 10:34 am They are actually most frequently seen on the peninsular minors (1/2, 1, 2R)... typically shield type, some portrait as here also. You don't see the 1/2R all that much. A LOT of phony stamps out there... Not my expertise, but this looks OK. Pretty nice "look" to it, with the later date (less worn) host.
