I see your point with Belgium's euro. For us it would be like taking the Roosevelt dime and placing the obverse on all denominations.

I wonder why they chose to use the same image?

A good question, probably the king thought that he was the sufficiently important thing to be the image of all the coins. He is the king, but is an ugly and fat king. I continue thinking that Gizmo is better option.

I wasn't about to say it, but yeah, could be. Any king's pet is probably a better choice too.
