I found this in a circulated bankroll from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. It has a very nice Struck Through on the reverse. It's very long like if it was Struck Through a wire.

Strike thrus are "innies" aren't they? If it is on the surface, it should come off with a knife tip. It may be a hair between the plating?

Yep, they are innies. It didn't come off with Acetone and the Struck Through area doesn't show any pushed up metal. it's a weird one. Anymore thoughts anybody? I would like more responses just to make sure I got this right.

IF you look at the ends of the line, they should stop abrupt. If not, then they are PSD. If the a coin is damaged it will show straight lines down the area in question with square bottom of the trench. On the struck through it will usually be more rounded in that lowest part of trench. (if struck through wire or thread)

No a rim bur would be a lot wider. This looks like to me to be a thread because of the size of the width of this area.

In the first pic inside the area in question I can see striations it just doesn't look like a struck through to me.

Thank you for the detailed and informative responses. This can't be damage though because none of the metal is pushed up in that area. I am thinking it's Struck Through, but still kinda debatable. Crazyb0 said in an email to me that it was etheir lint or hair got trapped into the plating during the plating process at the U.S. Mint.

Well it was done before the plating process, then it would be raised. It is not. It is a struck issue or PSD because it is incuse. A closer view of the areas I mention earlier would be helpful to see which it is. The ends of the areas in question and the trench closer view would be helpful.

I will get another picture of the whole "Struck Through". Please standby.....

I got better pictures of the area in question with the endpoints of the "Struck Through".

It is a struck through error. Probably very thin wire. If it were thread I would expect the curve to be more present on the coin. So that is a nice find. These images would have been a great help from the start.

Thank you Coop for helping me out. That's what I thought it was, a Struck Through. Next time, I will take better quality close up pictures and take close up pictures of the area in question.

If anything, you learned how to get better pictures. Always a plus when you keep trying to get a better images. Sometimes even if you do something that works or don't work, you keep what works and show us better images. (sometimes getting the better image, make you a better photographer)

Thank you again Coop! I am always experimenting with the picture angles and the lighting as well. If it wasn't for for you and other members, I wouldn't have gotten this far in knowledge today.
