how can you determine that it was aftermarket? Lol look at the you in trust and the O on one cent on the wheat side. are you sure I cant start early retirement ?

The way you can tell it is damage is quite easy once you understand the minting process. On your coin, something struck the front quite hard. It was hard enough that it distorted the reverse side directly opposite the front damage.
There are uncountable ways that a coin can be damaged after being minted, but there is a finite number of things that can happen at the mint that will result in an error.
Stick around on this forum, and you will learn what is and what isn't an error or variety. I knew very little about errors when I started coming here, but have learned tons from the experts that come here to help.
