This is one abused, U-G-L-Y, barely VG coin, but it definitely is a 1935-D RPM-005. With the crazy mm position, it's an easy one to spot. I guess it's still worthy of a 2x2.
That is just another example of how doubling shows up quite clearly even on a very worn coin. Too many times we try to see too much into that which really isn't! Good one.
cwb, the rest of the coin is just as ugly. The color you see is the rusty iron colored surface yecccch that pops up on a lot of the 1930s Lincolns for some reason. Still, it's a fun one. The mm position is absurd, but that makes the ID easy. (The two D/D norths for 1935-D (RPM-002 and RPM-004) are brutal to distinguish from each other and to ID at all.)
