I was just on the Wildman Software website. They are now offering Krause's 2008 Standard catalog of World Coins for $25.00. This is a 3 DVD set and includes the respected series: 1801-1900, 1901-2000 and 2001-Present. Features of this electronic edition include: Images that can be clearly enlarged up to 300% without distortion Printable pages, allowing you to print only what you need to use when you are away from your computer Using the country-by-page index, you are able to navigate directly to the country you are seeking to reference. Check out their site if you are interested. http://www.exactchange.info/Krause.htmI just purchased my copy and wanted to let everybody else know about this deal. $25 ain't that bad...it's WAY cheaper then even one of the books
edit:
almost Everyone has it for $99 and a few have it for $89. This for $25 seems rather shady to me. Most software has about a 40% markup from wholesale. There is NO WAY they can charge this and make a profit...unless they are making a profit on their software only and are drawing a crowd to their website.
I'll wait to you gets yours in first. Please lemme know if they are legit versions of the DVDs and not copys

That's a good price, in contrast to those heavy newsprint books. Is the CD PDF based?

It definitely takes a while for the file to load.. what I do is look at the beginning index where it lists what country is on which page (on one DVD it's actually in a separate file - kinda handy that way) then use the "go to page" at the top, rather than trying to page down to it via the keyboard. Egads, I only tried that ONCE. And that's on a 2GB-RAM machine. Quote: Those detailed images do not come without a cost! DVD should say "RAM not included" ..

Though the picture on the website shows a 2008, I wonder it you'll get an older version? For that matter, is 2009 the "current" version making 2008 "obsolete" and thus explaining how it can be only $25?

I received my DVD set today. It is the original set from Krause. I also looked for the 2009 version online. The 2009 DVD has not been released yet. It will be included with the book when it is released according to Amazon.com . They are taking prerelease orders now for the 2009 version.
