If your items are graded by a third party grading service GreatCollections.com is a good place to put them up on. They do accept raw lots and will have them certified for you if they merit. Common coins in low grades they won't list. Check out their website under listing coins/currency and it will answer all your questions. Ive never had a problem with them.

Ugly, I can't answer your question but I ask the same thing a couple months ago and was reprimanded by a "few" who accused me of trying to get around the "minimum posting limit" to sell coins on this forum. Don't be surprised at any of the replies you get! Just like you, I was just asking for suggestions on places to buy or sell varieties. I have hundreds and was interested in trading or buying as well as selling.

If you have high dollar pieces use Heritage or great collection auctions. For lower value stuff use ebay or Amazon You can also use Craigslist or your local news paper. When you have enough posts here sell them here on CCF. Good luck with your sales whichever route you use.

@rjh, I'm sorry for your poor experience here on CCF (especially as it might have been me), but glad that you are sticking around. The overly critical replies to your question were undoubtedly from folks that thought you were just trying to get around the posting minimum. There are folks who try to walk down this route and it can leave the rest of us with a little bit of a jaundiced eye.

The site here also has an auction site:

I've sold several coins there in the past. This one is not my auction. Just posting it so you can view that area.
Rest in Peace

I buy a lot of stuff on on-line auctions, tons of them out there. I also have "consigned" to a few of the houses within the "network" and at my local auction House as well. You pay the house a set fee for them to sell your item, 10-20% of the sold price. It is risky, and I think you need to watch and be involved before you do that. You can't sell on CCF yet, check the rules, but it is a place to do so. Now, what are you trying to sell? Ladders and Radars? Old bills like Silver certs? If it is contemporary Radars etc, ebay is it, you'll find a sucker, er taker there.. They Don't sell at auction and most likely won't sell here. Wish ya well.
