I'm confused. I thought Charles IV was from 1788 to 1808. Date on that appears to be 1799. What am I missing?

Anaximander, the assayer combination HJ first appeared in the second half of 1809.

Modern Numismatic Forgery - they mixed up their dies and created a "mule".

This can happen with a Contemporary Counterfeit as well but there are many more that are recently made and essentially worthless.

Such effort to make it look old and used, with a nice "blood, sweat & tears" signature.

I wonder: are such numismatic frauds made in series like that - with the same "surreptitious" dried tear on the same spot - or is the "aging" a personalized finishing touch?
