I was going through our collection today and found some cool stuff. I'm new to all this so anything out of the ordinary is exciting. I'm also very ignorant so if you could help me out that would be cool.

1957 D
This was the first time I ever found something with Cud like this. Not sure if there is something going on with the R as well or not. ( Just took another look at the picture and it looks like the right side of the top of the T is short, and actually almost all of the letters have something wrong with them, could that just be damage?)

This is the same 1957 D. The 5 on the date seems to have some Cud in it as well

Is there anything up with the right upper edge of this 9?

Me-And-My-Mom's-Lincoln-Cent-Collection-Need-Help
This looked kind of offset. Not sure if that makes it valuable or not. It's a 1968

Me-And-My-Mom's-Lincoln-Cent-Collection-Need-Help
This one is a 1973 D with what might be a little Cud in between the I and the B

I have one more that's a 1968 and the top edge is is offset to the point where the tops of the letter of "In God We Trust" are just barely hanging over the edge. My camera ran out of batteries though so that'll have to be for later.

@sns, first welcome to CCF. Second, the die chip in the word LIBERTY is called a "BIE" error. Very nice!

This is another one I wanted to put up here. It's a 1961 D that's in really good shape. It's got this weird line on the reverse that is really faint.

The only thing in your first post of interest is what Spence pointed out. It is definitely a BIE die break (not a Cud, technically). 1957-D may be the most common date/mm to find those on, however, so I wouldn't expect value to be over say, $1.

For the 1961-D you just posted, can you get a straight on, full coin shot? It looks interesting, but I can't tell very much at this point.

The Line that is under and through the memorial doesn't quite line up with the line above the memorial. I wish I had one of those light up magnifiers to take a better look at it. I cant tell if there's any difference in elevation on the line.

Hmmm...

I can't really tell. I was thinking from the other images that it may have been struck through debris of some sort.

Hopefully, others will look and throw out some ideas.

Nevermind, maybe it is a straight line it's hard to tell. Should I try to wipe it off or something. I've tried to search everything I can on the web but I can't find anything so I'm starting to think it's nothing.

It is a "roller" line that was on the planchet stock plate the blanks were cut out of prior to upsetting and coining. The rollers get ink, grease on them and stain the metal. When the coin is stamped, the line runs through the indented die devices.

And a word of advise: Never handle your coins with your fingers and bare hands, always wear a cotton glove. The oil from our hands will remain on the coin's finish and over time will turn into an ugly dark finger print that would never come off the coin again.
