I was wondering if anyone could help me figure this out the letters on the reverse of the coin get really large and bolded then it looks rubbed out.you can see the e and d in united are really big and boldand the s and t in states also as it fades out. I wasn't sure if this was damaged or an error,sorry the pictures are about as good as I can get with this phone.

They appear to have been ground off by either a grinder, being rubbed on a concrete floor or sand paper. Not an error, PMD
