Once again I would like to ask the gurus on the board for a check to see if a coin is. One othe thing,is that his face,or did Herod not have coins with his face on them? I cannot tell.Cheers.

Yes, authentic. No, Herod did not issue coins with his face. However, that's not his face here. This is a Hendin 1190, a half prutah of Herod. The top image, which is the reverse of the coin, is an eagle standing right. You can just barely see its beak at the top. The lower image, the obverse of the coin, shows a cornucopia with an inscription to either side.
