On the front the face isn't a side view and the back doesn't have "one dime" stamped on it. Nobody I've shown it to can tell me anything about it. Second, I agree with @SD2017 that someone changed the portrait either by repoussage or chasing 9in focus pics would help to determine the specific method). We see this some with so-called "hobo nickels". I have not seen a hobo dime before, but perhaps others here have. I suppose that there is no way of knowing when exactly this was done. Worth saving in a 2x2 for sure. It is an altered coin on which someone added their own artwork.
