Is there a way to search and find a post using key words for example
"1851 Humbert"
Yes I can get several threads where it was mentioned but some of those threads are many pages. Sometimes as many as 100 or more.

I still would have to start at page 1 and scroll through until I find it.

My reason for asking is twofold

1. To find and read about a particular thing
2. To avoid making a duplicate post

I looked around and can't seem to find a way. Sorry, if this question has been answered already. Thank you!

For some reason I remembered the Numismatic Search Engine ( shown in left column 4th one down ) almost immediately after I posted. doh
https://www.coincommunity.com/numismatic_search/

I did find a post that took me right to the one I was looking for. The more exact key words I entered the higher it rose to the top.

Did I answer my own question? Thanks again.

Hmm, just reading this thread now. Perhaps you can share the difference between using "Numismatic Search Engine" and "Search Coin Community". Aren't they just the same thing?

Spence, it appears so. Even easier to spot.
It's funny how long I have done things the hard way for so long.

Ok yes that is why I asked--wanted to make sure that I'm getting the full functionality of CCF. Thx!

Oh my, I am having such a good time since I am using the "Search Coin Community" function.
I can't believe the time I wasted paging through long threads.

Oh well, there were a lot of times I read stuff I would have otherwise missed but this is the cat's meow. LOL
