@ct-crh, first welcome to CCF. Second, while that must be just damage to the coin after it left the mint, I agree that it is pretty compelling as a letter D. Very interesting!

Normally I don't look at damaged coins, just throw them back. This one for whatever reason I happened to glance and seen it. Threw it in a holder for haa haa's. Thought it was cool considering and thought i'd share. Most PMD isn't attractive at all :)
