Taken about three years now of bank box searched to finally capture a 1939S. This was a very good box, along with the 39S were 2-43P's, one 09D and a nice assortment of 70's, and early 80's XF/AUs, nice rims too. I suspect this was a collection dump or a very old coin jar to have gleaned this lot, much better than normal.. Don't know about you all, but sometimes I can get a real "flavor" of what the box contained by what I picked thru. Of course all this just depends on what was in the hopper of the wrapping machine at the time from numerous anonymous bags. Here's a pair of layout pix of the gleanings and closeups of some nice ones, the 39P is a surprisingly nice AU as is the 64P, 64D & 65. Needed this one, was getting really discouraged after the last three boxes of not much a thing. Here's some pix:

The pre-40 mintmarked Jeffersons are always a thrilling find. Nice! Don't be jealous, but I've amassed 13 of them in 2 years. Location, location, location... the perks of being on the West coast...

You'd think being in central Missouri we would have a greater shot at the Denver issues 38,39 and 50, but nope.

Those three coins are interesting. To date, I've found two each of the 1939-D and 1950-D, but seven 1938-Ds.

Crazy -Congrats, very nice to find one of the keys. The 39S is the one I am looking for to complete the CRH only set. It keeps me motivated when I see they are real.
