Well the first time I logged in here, a genleman was kind enough to send me a message of welcome. So I wanted to reply to him now, but cannot find the "mail" section (if that was where it came from), or the original message.

Anyway, I would like to thank him for his initial greeting. The forum is full of interesting things, and I look forward both to followng it and contributing to it.

I have a collection of around 25,000 world coins, all different, and I am sure I will be able to find a few elements worthy of discussion among the coins of every country.

cheapandcommon: to the CCF !

25,000 different types is not a cheap and common collection ! Ten times the size of my collection !

There are a a few other World collectors here in the CCF.

Do you collect modern, or from all centuries?

Thanks for both responses, and to Mr. Goodie for his welcome.

Yes I tried to collect not just different types (in the sense of different Krause numbers), but all the different dates and mint marks. Just from around 1840 to around 1985. (Of course I acquired very few complete sets.)

For example the Romanian 10 Lei of 1930 (KM#49) circulated in no fewer than four varieties:
- no mint mark
- a (Paris)
- H (Heaton)
- KN (King's Norton)
