Best Third Party Grading Photography?

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 03/05/2018 10:26 am I have a beautiful Indian Head cent, which I believe is a proof, that I am considering submitting. It's a red and brown coin. I have found it very difficult to photograph it and capture the mirror fields. I know PCGS offers high quality photography of coins as does NGC. Do people have a recommendation on which service would be better in order to capture the true appearance of the coin? Thanks for sharing your opinions. Paul Bulgerin Report this Post to the Staff

Phil is really easy to work with and you can contact him directly if you have any concerns about the photos. I know in the past hes made them all available to people to pick the style they liked the best ect. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 03/05/2018 11:44 am PCGS probably has the better photography. I've never been very impressed with NGC. One problem with PCGS photograghy is that typically the photo looks BETTER than the coin does in real life, not its real appearance. Report this Post to the Staff
