Hi;

I saw this ebay listing and decided to look up the NGC reference. The pictures on the NGC site look different... The fields look fantastic on ebay but there are hairlines on the NGC site.

Is this an artifact of a harsh photo on the NGC site and flattering photo on ebay or is this a potential fake. I was surprised that the BIN price is less than I expected it to be.

NGC photos are bad , sellers can take way better pictures.

If you want to compare pictures usually PCGS has better picture.

It's the pics.

The BIN price is not low in fact it is slightly higher than full retail price.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Watch for the dreaded ' ebay tilt' with ebay pictures, as surface imperfections can be masked.

Especially when the coin is brilliant white.

Its not the camera tilt, but the light tilt. Hairlined coins cannot be photographed with lighting at a high angle. You can take the picture straight on, but the lights need to come in low or indirect.

Sorry to state the obvious, but why no reverse pics?
