Has anyone seen the Cdn 150 nickel (1867-2017) coin in circulation yet.

I have seen at least 100 in searching about 130ish rolls so far. They are crazy common now.

From time to time I will go into a bank and ask for 5 or 10 rolls of nickels. I have found lots of the 2017, but have not been lucky enough yet to find a new unopened roll.

Seems like each of you have found them in rolls but haven't seen any when receiving change from a purchase.

Will there be any of the regular classic 2017 Cdn coins put in circulation. I know that you can buy a coin set from the Mint but will there be any just in the wild.

Only if someone opens their coin set from the Mint and spends it. I have not yet found any 2017 classics in change nor from roll hunting and do not expect to find any. But you never know. They cost the buyer close to 7 times above face value so I cannot see people dumping them.

Of all the special 150 coins, the nickels are the easiest to find in the GTA. I've also seen several loonies, but the others are pretty hard to find in this area.

No nickels yet, but today I did receive a Canada 150 loonie in the wild.

In an entire year of searching, I've only found the Canada 150 loonie, one coloured toonie, and a non-coloured quarter here in Northern Ontario. I have a 2017 nickel brought back from Ottawa area by my son in June. I've still not seen a 2016 loonie or toonie in 2 years of looking.

Still haven't found any 150 nickels yet. Keep searching but nothing has come up.

After searching another 8 rolls, I was able to find one 2017 150 nickel. Need to keep looking.

I am surprised that someone has said that the nickels are the easiest of the 150 coins to be found in circulation. I have only found one in going through numerous rolls of coins plus looking in my change. But have been able to get several of the quarters (not the coloured ones).
