I found this Penny today it's a small date that weighs 3 grams but it has the same design as the zinc small date pennies with the real small numbers. that are close together, I wasn't sure if this was an error, or that's the way they were designed I took a picture with this coin next to a zinc Denver small date so you could get some short idea the images look big because they are zoomed in so much thanks I appreciate all help.

All the small dates will look the same and all the larges will look the same, regardless of the planchet composition or mint.

I thought I read they changed the modifications and appearance of the date in the new zinc pennies

Large date dies were optimized for striking copper; small date for bronze. Philadelphia tested the small date on copper before the switch, then used up their dies of both types on zinc. Denver still had some leftover large date dies, but supposedly cleaned out all of the bronze planchets before loading the small date dies.

Designs are different from the large and small dates.
