I have this 1958 D LWC that has a silver toning to it. I am sure this is some type of plating and if it was it was a long time ago. It rings like copper, is not magnetic, weighs 3.04 g and is the same thickness and diameter as a normal LWC. A curiosity to say the least.

Used to do plating in chemistry class in HS late '60's, wheats were abundant in rolls then, get 30-40 in a roll, even the "good ones", wouldn't it be nice today!

Maybe I outta bank wrap a few rolls of 40's and '50's commons and give some poor CRHer a coronary! LOL!
