Your title say 1797 cent, but the picture is an 1803. Is that the coin. Looks to be VF30, but the color is unnatural.

Also, this appears to be the large date large fraction variety which is pretty rare. Can anyone confirm this variety? Thanks

It looks like the S-257 variety to me. I think maybe it is actually a small date, large fraction ... the short enumerator line is the key in my opinion.

Small date (3 does not encroach upon bust line) / large fraction My EAC grade is 20/10 due to obverse and reverse scratches and obverse light porosity/corrosion. A TPG would probably throw a VF Details holder on it. It's not unattractive, if you can get past the scratches.
