Or is just an illusion?..but looks like an s at bottom of d...I'll try to get better pic.....

I keep all pre-1959 coins that I find in change. They will always be at least a smidge over face value to me.

And if you tried, you probably could find someone who would give you a dollar for it, just because it's so old. That's the magic of coins--they take you back in time. And many people find that fascinating.
