It looks to be a normal 1953-D nickel with circulation wear corresponding to its age.

It's nice to find old coins like that in circulation, but there isn't any value beyond face.

Is there anything specifically you are seeing that might change things?

FYI - a US 5 cent coin is spelled nickel not nickle.

It is. On top of that, if I were to put a label to it, it would be VG, not just G. Where did it come from?

There is a 1953 D over inverted D variety. Before tossing it back in the jar, take a close look at the mint mark.
