numismatic student Bedrock of the Community United States 11880 Posts	Posted 03/12/2018 7:38 pm I was thinking this was close to vf35 but landed on XF because all the stars are fully split. That is something you see in nicer xf double dimes. I also like the hair detail. One source of concern is that the middle of the right obverse field looks grey. There is color contrast with the rest of the coin. I would examine that area carefully. Report this Post to the Staff
sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21786 Posts	Posted 03/12/2018 7:59 pm There seems to be scratch marks on this coin to be seen in the lower areas of the design, around the eagles wings. Those scratch marks are not seen in the fields. (harsh cleaning?) No such problem? on the obverse. I am a bit hesitant to grade it, and will read with interest the comments of others.
