Grabbed this off ebay for $25 and it just arrived. Not perfect but darn nice. 1912-S RPM-001 (east) The die chip below the bust is a die marker but such things are almost invisible on these striated planchets so I put an arrow in there where it looks to be in-hand.

Very nice purchase! It's in great condition too. The RPM is pretty easy to see.
Errers and Varietys.

Nice coin! Even without an RPM, that's a tough date and mint, but wow!
Check the markers on Variety Vista, because I think I can make out the light die crack toward the bottom of Lincoln's lapel in your OBV photo.

With this coin the further away you get the more you can see the details. I see what you mean about the die crack at the base of the lapel, but in-hand it is not visible under the scope or 8X loupe. What looks like the start of the shoulder die crack on the left in the photo is visible under magnification but doesn't look at all like a die crack. But it's pretty clearly rpm-001 just not really sure what die stage which is okay with me. I mentally placed it at stage B based on Wexler's die marker descriptions but didn't put that on the slip as I'm not really sure.

If the die cracks aren't there, your read as Stage B sure sounds spot on. What a great coin. I think you hit the walk-off home run on this one!

Sweet score ! Not a late die state as the later it gets the secondary mm starts to blend with the primary S. Mine is the CC plate coin so this is a favorite of mine!

Part of a remaining clash. Also connecting to the 'C' on cent. The rotation of the obverse die moves the location a bit.

Yes, thanks Coop. And thanks Chase for noticing that clash. It went right by me as I was just thinking PIDT when I saw it and never once thought clash. Post and learn!
