What are the penny's of note from 1909 to 1939 I should be aware of because I was just given about 2500 of them between those dates and I've decided to put them together as far as years go but I'm not so sure how long I can keep this table under my control! Without getting to specific, I know you guys have better things to do! Thanks, Chrisstonacross.

There are a number of key dates. 1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1914-D, 1922 No D, 1931-S. Generally, the S mints are more difficult to find. Hope that helps.

You may want to invest into a set of coin tubes so you can organize your cents by date/mm. As noted, there are several key/semi-key dates/mm's. I am in the process of putting together a coin roll set by date/mm...and you may want to also. The date range you have are the harder, more valuable dates. Organizing what you have can help you establish the value of your coins; whether you keep them or not.

What a great task you have!! Many here would love to be in your shoes!! Good luck!

Also keep in mind the condition. Some of the early coins themselves are not rare, but in XF-MS condition can be worth considerably more! Keep us updated with pictures as I am already starting to drool at the sound of that.

Rest in Peace

There are many things to look for when searching that kind of lot . certain dates as mentioned above also I can add 1910-S ,1911-S ,1912-D ,& S ,1914-S ,and 1924-D . Condition of the coin can mean the difference between being worth little or a lot . Also look out for Mint errors ,there are many .Get yourself ''The Red Book Of U.S. Coins''. If you find any coins that you think could have value ,make sure you put them in some kind of holder ,2x2 cardboard , plastic flips or air-tites .
And most of all have FUN !
